Amazing!

This song is AMAZING!! Can you please write a non-midi version!? I know that defeats the purpose, but I tell ya. That would be so epic too!!

Hades responds:

Hehe, I'm not really sure I want to go on and change the nice fuzzy bit-feel of this one by adding real instruments. It would probably work, but I like it just fine this way, I have to admit. ;D Thanks for the comment!

::Ahem::

SOMETIMES, an artist needs to do what he likes??? ALWAYS bro!!! Follow what your heart and soul tells you to write. Not what all the other fuckers out there tell you to do. I like this on the sheer basis that you're doing what you wanna do, even if it's not fully my thing.
There's this certain sound that I really like when everything comes together in the 2:50s . Very nice layering and genre-mixing. You know I'm into that. Peace Bracksta

Bracksta responds:

lol, i am a crowd pleaser. i don't so what i like all the time. idk, i do just make what ever sounds good to me at the same time as pleasing peeps

Hey yeah!!

This is very different for you. I like everything after that vocal intro. But then I got used to the vocal too! I'm sure this is one that'll grow on me. Really good work man, but I suppose the vocals could be mixed just a tad lower.

Bracksta responds:

thanks for the great review, ya i am trying to find good royalty free clips to mix around

Hrm

Hey not bad... I'm a MMX fan too. Decent sounds, although I'm not a fan of the 16th note harmonies underneath that carry the song. If anything they take away from the original intent, and make it sound almost doofy. Still though, not bad. Megaman X rules man..

Cool sound.

This is a very nice industrial rock sound you got goin' on here. And I like the fact that it's upbeat too. You don't see that too often. Nice job and nice song name.

JebusAndTheHolyYoses responds:

Thanks!
Glad you liked it and thanks for the review

Hey man!!!!! The Lonely Hero has come a LONG way!! Thank you for adding guitar to this song. The solo at the end, does sound awesome. I love how we're workin' with the same character here and yet, we get such a different product 'cause stylistically we write so differently.
But on with the song. Excellent instrumentation and choice of chords. I can totally see this being like the chill song when the Hero chills out in his air-craft, when not in battle, lol. That build was great on through the end, although I will admit that the Universal theme at the end was somewhat of a cheesy touch. I know what you were going for though, and I like that victorious heroic horn ending regardless.

Bracksta responds:

lol, thanks for understanding the ending. I liked the lil touch, it was heroic. i think i drew this song out to long i could have made it shorter and probaly rocked some sock s just the same.

Too redundant.

Hey man. This is a good catchy riff, but you do realize that you could cut these verses in half and be just as effective, right?
I like the main riff, the backing choir, that kickin' beat and that mellow bassline. I just feel that it takes a long time to get there.

Hey, not bad!

I was starting to lose interest until your bridge that comes in at :55. Then the song from there on starts to become epic and phenomenal in my book. I'm sure this is one that'll grow on me. Good stuff. Check out my Metal version of -Shutting Down-. It may or may not be your thing, but ya never know.

Tight

That was a great combination of synths and beat loops. I wrote a song called Discovery myself, but then later renamed it Recovery as the motivation changed. This was awesome stuff man. Once ya get hooked into the main theme of the song, that's it. Very good stuff. I'm a fan.

Hey, not bad.

A good tune is a good tune regardless of what genre it is. Overall I like the whole thing. Nice use of sounds. The solo at 1:40 could use some work in my opinion, but alternatively, the bridges from 2:40 on sounded great. And I really liked that guitar solo around 4 minutes. Good one. I see that covers are your new thing ;-]

What's up folks. I'm the "Hidden Gem" on Newgrounds, The Metallikid. I love all things musical including writing, producing & distributing my own stuff right here on NG. Comment & Vote for me. Don't be shy.
